Walk the Line
I gaze upon the galaxy, wishing
upon the cluster of stars
for one isn’t enough, I feel
to secure my future
and I see the council of sparkles
debating my fate
their signals, beautiful
against the azure sky.
Here I sit, cross-legged
appealing for assistance
beyond the sphere I’m in
bridging dreams to reality
or so I’m inclined to believe
is this all insanity?
I sort through the mess in my mind
for the ‘good’, something useful
one that could convert into a dime, or two
the sands of time is not on my side
but I’ve got to find it, I must
before the clock whistles – deadline.
